Getting Started With Lakeland Bank’s New Mobile Banking Features

Mobile Banking, offered via text (SMS), mobile browser, and Smartphone App, is available to anyone currently enrolled in Lakeland Bank’s online banking service. It provides secure and convenient access to your accounts anywhere and anytime.

Using your mobile phone, you can now monitor your accounts, view account balances, find a local Lakeland Bank branch, and even transfer funds between your Lakeland Bank accounts.

Your privacy and security are very important to us. With Lakeland Bank’s Mobile Banking, no personal or financial information is stored on your mobile device and the service includes the following security features:
  • 128-bit encryption
  • Five-minute inactivity logout
  • Account number masking
How to Enroll In Lakeland Bank's Mobile Banking

Let’s get started! Make sure to have your mobile phone handy.

First, you’ll need to log into your online banking account and select “Mobile Banking” from the top menu (or select “Options”). Find the mobile banking option and click “Enroll Now.” Read and accept the terms and conditions then click “Continue.”


Next, you will have the option to select one or more of the three mobile banking options that best suits your needs then click “Continue.”


Tips To Help You Select A Mobile Banking Experience
  • Choose “Mobile Browser” if you’d like to receive an optimal banking experience with the look and feel that is similar to the online banking site designed to fit neatly on your phone’s screen.
  • To get a customized application for your iPhone or Android phone with easy-to-navigate menus select “Download Mobile Apps.”
  • Selecting “Text Messaging” allows you to text commands from your SMS-enabled phone to inquire about basic account balance and transaction information.

See the chart below for detailed information on features for each of the offered mobile banking solutions.

Next, you will select and configure the accounts you would like to access from your mobile device. Give each account a nickname. It’s best if you keep nicknames short and easy to remember. Also be sure to select your time zone, and then click “Continue.”

On the next screen, enter your mobile phone number and click “Continue.” You will soon receive a text message with your activation code. Enter the activation code from the text message into the text box and select “Activate.”

Congratulations, your accounts can now be securely accessed from your mobile phone anytime and anywhere.

Downloading and Installing the Mobile Banking Application

Once you’ve completed the online enrollment and selected the “Download Mobile Apps” option, you will receive a text message with a personalized link to download the mobile banking application. The system will automatically detect the type of device you’re using. To install the application, tap “Download”, then read the terms and conditions and the select “Accept & Download.” Once downloaded, you’ll receive a second text message from Lakeland Bank containing a smartlink to activate and launch to the application for the first time. That’s it! Just tap the “Application” icon on your home screen and you are now able to securely access your accounts from anywhere.


Using the Mobile Browsing Feature on your Web-enabled Phone

If you selected the mobile browsing option during activation, you can access some of the more powerful banking features such as transferring funds from your mobile browser. Once enrolled, you will receive a text message containing a private link to log in. This link is unique to your account so remember to bookmark it to use it each time you log in from your mobile device. Enter your password on the login page; your mobile password is the same as your online banking password.

Once logged on, click the “View Accounts” icon to display balance information for each of your accounts. Select an account to view details such as transaction history. To return to the main screen select “Menu” in the top left corner.


Transferring Funds

Transferring funds is just as easy as viewing account details. Select the account you’d like to transfer money from, then select the account you’d like to transfer money to, enter the transfer amount and click “Next” to continue. On the next screen, view the transfer information you entered and select “Yes” to confirm the transfer. Once you confirm the information you entered is correct, you will see a “Transfer Complete” screen. That’s all there is to it, you’ve just transferred money between two accounts.


Using SMS Text Messaging to Check Balances and View Account History

Accessing your accounts using text messaging is simple. Once you’ve activated the mobile banking service, you will receive a text message with instructions on how to get started.


  • Text the letters “BAL” to view your account balances.
  • To view account history, text “HIST” plus the nickname of the account(s) you set up during the activation process.
