VP - Financial Audit Leader 14148

Lakeland Bank is looking for an experienced financial audit professional who will work with the Chief Audit Officer and Audit Team in developing methodologies, implementing tools, and executing engagements to support the organization in the areas of governance, risk management, and internal controls.
The successful candidate has the following qualifications and experience: Certification as an active CPA or CMA. Baccalaureate in audit, accounting or finance; MBA preferred. This candidate will have 7+ years in financial services audit experience within a bank or in the banking sector assurance practice of a Top - 10 firm, financial audit, the evaluation/testing of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 controls, prior experience in either compiling or reviewing regulatory reporting including 10Q's and 10K's, understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, COSO framework and PCAOB rules required. 3+ years of audit supervisory or audit management experience. Risk assessment experience in multiple environments. Positive can-do attitude with passion for continuous learning. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be bondable.
Qualified candidate will: assist the CAO in the design, scheduling and execution of the risk-based audit plan; ensure overall quality, consistency, risk management and adherence to department and professional standards as defined in the IPPF published by the IIA; perform quality assurance reviews on audit reports for peers and staff; perform and lead financial and operational audits; administer and execute SOX project management; support external auditors and regulators in the conduct and completion of examinations; perform other duties as assigned.
