The conversion is currently scheduled for the weekend of February 11 - 14. 1st Constitution Bank branches will close at 3:00pm on Friday, February 11 and branches will reopen as Lakeland Bank on Monday, February 14 at 9:00am (Princeton, formally known as Windrows, opens at 9:30am). You will continue to receive the personalized service you have come to expect from 1st Constitution Bank. We will update you as we progress through this conversion.
During this period, please conduct business as usual with 1st Constitution Bank. Please continue to use the 1st Constitution Bank branches, website and ATMs as well as mobile and online banking, bill pay, your checks and debit cards. For your convenience Lakeland Bank ATMs are available for ATM withdrawals surcharge-free.
After the conversion currently scheduled for February 11 - 14, Lakeland Bank will provide an exceptional banking experience that offers customers personalized banking services, state-of-the-art online and mobile banking technology, a network of more than 70 branch locations, and access to 55,000 surcharge-free Allpoint® ATMs worldwide.
The following changes will occur in connection with the conversion in February:
The Jackson branch will be closed and consolidated into the Lakeland Bank branch located at 2120 West County Line Road in Jackson.
The Lawrenceville branch will be closed and consolidated into the branch located at 3659 Nottingham Way in Hamilton.
The Neptune City branch will be closed and consolidated into the branch located at 5511 Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park.
The lender who currently manages your relationship will continue to do so after the conversion. Loan production offices will still be located at former 1st Constitution Bank branch locations in Toms River and Freehold; construction and mortgage warehouse specialty areas remain located in Cranbury and Hillsborough, respectively. SBA loans originating at 1st Constitution Bank will continue to be supported in Fort Lee.
If you have accounts at 1st Constitution Bank and Lakeland Bank, your accounts will be separately insured through the FDIC until six months after the legal acquisition date and possibly longer for Certificates of Deposit (CDs). For CDs, FDIC insurance will continue until the maturity date, even if the maturity date comes after the grace period. For CDs that mature during the grace period, if you roll over your CD for the same term and in the same dollar amount, it will be insured separately until the new maturity date.
You will be able to use all Lakeland Bank branches after the conversion on February 14, 2022. Until that time, please continue to use the 1st Constitution Bank branches, website and ATMs as well as mobile and online banking, bill pay, your checks and debit cards.
New debit cards are scheduled to be mailed on January 26, 2022. The debit card mailing will include specific information on activation and usage.
Unless previously notified, your account number will not change so you may continue to use your 1st Constitution Bank checks and deposit slips after the conversion.
Yes, over conversion weekend your 1st Constitution Bank account will convert to a comparable Lakeland Bank product. A product conversion guide and account summary is provided in the Welcome Letter and Welcome Packet with all details of your new account. Unless previously notified, your account number will not change.

Direct deposit transactions such as your payroll or social security check as well as scheduled payments will automatically convert to Lakeland Bank.
Recurring transfers scheduled in Consumer Online Banking will be converted and will not need to be reestablished. Your Bill Pay information will be automatically converted including history, payees, recurring payments, eBills and future-dated payments.
