Lakeland Bank Announces 2018 Promotions

Oak Ridge, N.J. – October 25, 2018 – Thomas J. Shara, President and CEO of Lakeland Bank, is pleased to announce the following officer promotions.
Mary Karakos promoted to First Senior Vice President – Commercial Loan Chief Administrative Officer. Karakos began her career with Lakeland Bank as a part-time workout officer for the former NBSC in 1992. After the NBSC merger, she was named Team Leader and advanced her position to the new role of Senior Vice President, Commercial Loan Chief Administrative Officer in 2016. Karakos resides in Sussex County.
Drew TerWaarbeek promoted to Senior Vice President – Regional Administrator. TerWaarbeek joined Lakeland Bank in 2000 and was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager of the Montville Branch in 2002. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager in 2010, to Vice President in 2013 and to Vice President, Area Manager of the Montville and Boonton Branches in 2014. In this new role, he will oversee all of the southern region branches. TerWaarbeek resides in Rockaway.
Steven Breeman promoted to Vice President – Team Leader – Asset Based Lending. Breeman joined Lakeland Bank in 2009. He began as Vice President – Relationship Manager and advanced his position to the role of Vice President, Asset Based Lending. Breeman resides in Jefferson Township.
Christine Keaveney promoted to Assistant Vice President – Consumer Loan Officer. Keaveney joined Lakeland Bank in 2017 as Assistant Treasurer – Consumer Loan Officer. Keaveney resides in Pompton Plains.
Johnny Rivera promoted to Assistant Vice President – Information Security Engineer. Rivera joined Lakeland Bank in April 2013 as a Network Administrator II in the Information Technology department. Rivera resides in Morris County.
Diane Walker promoted to Assistant Vice President – Facilities Business Services Coordinator. Walker started at Lakeland Bank in a temporary position within the Facilities/Maintenance department in 2016. She was hired full time as an Assistant Treasurer – Facilities Business Services Coordinator in 2016. Walker resides in Newton.
Teresa Eckert promoted to Assistant Treasurer – Administrative Assistant – Compliance, QC and Baker Hill. Eckert joined Lakeland Bank in 2014 as an Administrative Assistant for the Sussex Lending Team. In 2017, Eckert transferred to the Loan Administration department as the Administrative Assistant – Compliance, QC and Baker Hill. Eckert resides in Bushkill, PA.
Wendy Rude promoted to Assistant Treasurer – Branch Operations Manager, Hampton. Rude began her career with Lakeland Bank as a teller for the former National Bank of Sussex County in 1989. In 1995, she was promoted to a Customer Service Representative and in 1997 promoted to an Assistant Branch Manager. Rude resides in Milford, P.A.
Kathleen Sieber promoted to Assistant Treasurer – Corporate Trainer. Sieber started her career at Lakeland Bank in the branch environment in 2002 and transferred to the training department in 2012. Sieber resides in Ringwood.
