Oak Ridge, N.J. – Dec. 16, 2019 –Lakeland Bank is pleased to announce that Marlena Taglieri, CAMS, Senior Vice President, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Fraud Officer, and Jennifer Hopper, Vice President, Branch Manager, recently graduated from the NJ Bankers Emerging Bank Leaders Program held at Kean University.

The Emerging Bank Leaders Program enhances the organizational, performance, and leadership skills of highly motivated managers. Through a nine month program, the graduates were required to participate in full day and online sessions as well as complete “A Call to Leadership Project” to foster their personal development, benefit their financial institution and the banking industry.
Taglieri joined Lakeland Bank in 2005 as a Credit Analyst Trainee and transferred to the BSA department in 2006. Over the course of her career, she was promoted to positions with increasing responsibilities within the BSA department. In her current role, she is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the BSA/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control Program of the Bank. This includes developing, implementing and coordinating BSA/AML systems and controls, and reporting to state and federal authorities in the event of suspicious activity. Taglieri recently received the NJBankers Rising Star Award and is the secretary for Cub Scout Pack 17 and Stony Point Elementary PTA. She resides in Rockland County, N.Y.
Hopper began her career with Lakeland Bank in 1994 as a Teller in the Milton office. Over the course of her career, she held several positions with increasing responsibilities including Head Teller, Customer Service Representative, Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager. She was promoted to Assistant Treasurer, Branch Manager of the Frankford office in 2001, Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager in 2007 and to Vice President, Branch Manager of the Vernon office in 2014. Hopper is Vice President of the Vernon Chamber of Commerce and Business Sector lead for the Vernon Coalition to be Drug Free. She is a resident of Highland Lakes, N.J.
