Oak Ridge, N.J. – November 14, 2019 – Lakeland Bank is pleased to announce that $225,000 was raised at the Bank’s Annual Scholarship Golf Outing held September 24 at Crystal Springs Resort. Scholarships will be awarded in 2020 to local students pursuing a higher education.
“We not only had a record turnout of golfers this year, we also far exceeded our goal to raise $200,000,” said Thomas Shara, president and CEO of Lakeland Bank. “Due to the tremendous success of this event, we have decided to add additional high schools and colleges to the program as we remain committed to providing scholarships to students in all the markets we serve who have demonstrated academic success and want to attend college.”
Lakeland Bank awarded $190,000 in scholarships earlier this year to students who were selected by their school and demonstrated academic success and an interest in pursuing a higher education.
In 2020, Lakeland Bank will provide scholarships to the schools and colleges listed below and advises students to contact the Guidance department at their school to learn how to apply for a Lakeland Bank Scholarship.
