Oak Ridge, NJ - May 18, 2009 – To commemorate Lakeland Bank’s 40th anniversary, the board of directors and senior management were invited to officially open the market day of stock trading at the NASDAQ offices at 43rd Street and Broadway in New York City.
“The opening ceremony took place in NASDAQ’s broadcast studio and was covered by CNBC and Bloomberg TV. In addition to the television coverage, the opening ceremony was transmitted on the NASDAQ Tower at the corner of 43rd Street and Broadway. The NASDAQ Tower is the largest stationary video screen in the world standing seven stories tall,” noted Thomas J Shara, President & CEO of Lakeland Bank.
Just prior to the opening, NASDAQ officials introduced CEO Thomas J. Shara, who gave a brief history of the bank and expressed the bank’s appreciation to the NASDAQ for the exposure that they provide Lakeland Bank stock.
At the 9:30 opening with directors and senior management there, Tom pressed the button that opened the market.
